Berkeley Heights: ABA Therapist / Direct Support Professional (DSP)
We are looking for a creative and compassionate ABA Therapist / Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a young man with developmental disabilities who lives at home with his family. We are currently looking for a DSP for a woman with developmental disabilities. She lives in her own home with her family, this is not a group home setting. She needs someone to assist her with getting up and ready in the morning for her day program. Eventually once a relationship is establish driving her to and from her day program as well. The ideal candidate would be patient, energetic, caring and creative.
Responsibilities:
- Wake the individual up in a creative way.
- Assist getting dressed.
- Side by side teeth brushing, face washing etc.
- Brushing her hair.
- Prepare breakfast or bring along in the car.
- Properly put leg braces on.

She lives in Burlington County with her parents. She enjoys engaging in and enjoys a variety of activities, including artwork and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, reading, walks, listening to music, and watching videos. It is also important that the right candidate have the skills to introduce new activities.
The candidate must ensure that a strict diet and behavioral plan is followed and keep appropriate documentation.
